DOG PARKS
Lexington's ever-expanding development brings less and less
opportunity for your dog to roam off-leash. But dogs, like people,
need regular exercise for their health and emotional well-being. So
what's a dog to do? Hit the local bark park! Luckily, Lexington has
already set aside three such parks, all free and open to area dog
lovers.
Jacobson Dog Park
on Richmond Road. Dogs can explore four acres with plenty of
trees, and there are benches for their owners to relax.
Masterson Station Dog Park,
off Leestown Road. Currently six acres, soon to be expanded to
sixteen.
Coldstream Dog Park
off Newtown Pike (near UK's research facility). The newest park, its
twelve acres are divided into two separate yards, with one set aside
for smaller pets.
Treat your dog to a trip to one of these great parks. Maybe you’ll
both meet new friends! |
